Mountaineer Racing 2022
The 2022 Mountaineer Racing team competed in Formula SAE® event at Michigan International Speedway placing 32 out of 49 registered teams.

Mountaineer Racing 2021
The 2021 Mountaineer Racing team placed 81st Overall in the Formula SAE® Knowledge Event in a field of 132 teams and 17th in the Las Vegas Validation Event in a field of 37 registered teams.

Mountaineer Racing 2020
The 2020 Mountaineer Racing was prepared to compete in the 2020 FSAE Michigan Competition but unfortunately the competition was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mountaineer Racing 2019
In the fall of 2018, the Mountaineer Racing program transitioned from a one year design-build-compete cycle to a multi-year cycle. The students on the 2019 team did not complete the race car in time for competition.

Mountaineer Racing 2018
In the fall of 2018, the Mountaineer Racing program transitioned from a one year design-build-compete cycle to a two year cycle to allow more time for to conduct more thorough design and analysis as well as perform thorough tuning and testing in preparation for competition. The students on the 2018 team designed the race car that will compete at the Formula SAE Michigan Competition in May 2019.

Mountaineer Racing 2017
The 2017 Mountaineer Racing team placed 87th Overall in the Formula SAE® Michigan Competition suffering and engine failure during the Endurance Race.

The 2016 Mountaineer Racing team placed 60th Overall in the Formula SAE® Michigan Competition.

The 2015 Mountaineer Racing team placed 59th Overall in the Formula SAE® Michigan Competition.

The Formula SAE® Michigan Competition marked WVU's return to Formula SAE® after a 10-year absence.

The dedicated students on the 2013 Mountaineer Racing Team played a pivotal role to restart Formula SAE® at WVU by the designing and starting to build the first WVU Formula SAE® race car to compete in over a decade.
